1 Privacy and Data Protection
1.1 The Event, How to do accurate, fast sample analysis with a tabletop electron microscope equipped with EDS is hosted by Oxford Instruments NanoAnalysis (‘OI’) and Hitachi Hitachi High-Tech Europe GmbH (‘Hitachi’, together with OI, ‘we’, ‘us’).
1.2 We are committed to protecting your privacy and to complying with applicable data protection laws. We will process the personal data you provide to OI and/or Hitachi when registering for How to do accurate, fast sample analysis with a tabletop electron microscope equipped with EDS as joint controllers where such processing is related to the administration and hosting of How to do accurate, fast sample analysis with a tabletop electron microscope equipped with EDS. OI and Hitachi will also separately process your personal data as independent controllers in accordance with their respective privacy policies available below:

1.3 We collect, use and share the following categories of personal data about you in connection with your registration and attendance of the How to do accurate, fast sample analysis with a tabletop electron microscope equipped with EDS:

We do not allow our third-party service providers to use your personal data for their own purposes. We only permit them to process your personal data for specified purposes and in accordance with our instructions.
1.7 We will transfer the personal data we collect about you to data servers operated or owned by Microsoft, Marketo, Spotler, SAP, Hubspot and Infor, located in the UK, European Economic Area (“EEA”) or outside the EEA in order to provide you with access to the How to do accurate, fast sample analysis with a tabletop electron microscope equipped with EDS. To transfer this personal data outside of the EEA and/or UK, we rely on adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses, as applicable for the relevant location.

(g) You also have the right not to be subject to purely automated decisions (including profiling) where this has a significant effect on you. We do not envisage that any decisions will be taken about you in this way; however we will update this statement if this changes.
