SEM analysis of battery material using the BEX technique and Unity

Using battery samples to illustrate, we show how easy analysis in SEM is using the BEX technique. The speed and simplicity with which the Unity detector acquires high-quality compositional images of the battery material is shown. Navigating around the sample in full compositional colour makes potential contaminants easy to pick out, whilst cartography mode allows us to analyse large areas quickly and easily. Meanwhile, the use of TruMap in the AZtec software ensures the accuracy of the data.
